Choose the finished size first
A common Indian business-card format is around 90 × 50 mm, while 89 × 51 mm is also widely used. Confirm the exact size with your printer before designing.
Add bleed
If the design reaches the edge, extend the background beyond the trim. Your printer can confirm the required bleed.
Use a safe margin
Keep text and logos comfortably away from the trim so small cutting variation does not affect important information.
Check both sides
For double-sided cards, keep the visual hierarchy consistent and verify the front/back orientation before export.
Prepare readable contact details
Name, phone, email, address and website should remain legible at the finished physical size. Avoid overly thin fonts and very small text.
